Participates in the evaluation of the impact of improvement activities./liliFacilitates sentinel event investigations and root cause analysis activities to reduce risk and increase patient safety. Facilitates the peer review process as indicated./liliCoordinates the review of, and collaborates with Risk Management on, correspondence related to quality of care issues from outside the organization/liliParticipates in efforts to establish and maintain organizational readiness to meet regulatory requirements based on service line specialty./liliEducates staff and physicians regarding performance improvement processes/initiatives and patient safety/li/ulpWhat qualifications you will need:/pulliGraduate of an accredited school of nursing or accredited medical school./liliBachelors degree preferred./liliMinimum three years of clinical experience./liliQuality Management, regulatory compliance, TQM/CQI training and experience is preferred./liliExperience in utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, clinical systems and databases./liliEmployee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable)./liliPreferred:/liulliCardiovascular Coordinator- experience in the cardiology service line, data and registry management/liliPediatric Cardiovascular Coordinator- experience in the pediatric critical care service line, data and registry management/liliChest pain/Stroke/Heart Failure Coordinator- experience in both service lines specific to stroke and cardiology with data and registry management/liliStroke Coordinator-NIH stroke scale, experience in the specific service line, data and registry management/liliTransplant Coordinator- experience in the specific service line, data and registry management/liliSepsis Coordinator- experience in the critical care service line, data and registry management/liliEvidenced based Care Measures Coordinator-experience in the regulatory, multiple nursing units service lines, data and registry management/liliProcess Improvement Coordinator experience with team facilitation, successful performance improvement program implementations (with measurable data).
