Location and Opportunity 5901 Harper Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109-3587 | Full time, FTE: 1.00 Summary The Behavioral Health Clinician will provide assessment and evidence-based care to individuals, families, and groups in a variety of settings. This role is part of a comprehensive Behavioral Health team that offers consultation and liaison in the Emergency Department, inpatient units, clinical intake, inpatient psychiatric units, and outpatient clinics across the Behavioral Health Service Line and Primary Care Service Lines. Job Description Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a licensed LCSW or LPCC Behavioral Health Clinician to join our practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The position offers a nationally competitive salary with relocation allowance, CME allowance, and fully paid malpractice insurance. The clinician will work within a Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model, providing services in behavioral health, substance abuse, and health behavior change. Applicants should have experience with brief interventions, team‑based care, diverse populations, and a range of psychiatric and substance abuse problems. Responsibilities Identify, triage, and manage patients with behavioral health problems across multiple settings. Provide counseling and case management for each patient, including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, brief psychotherapy, educational groups, and discharge planning. Demonstrate therapeutic core conditions of genuineness, empathy, and positive regard in all patient interactions. Document risk management activities, respond to patient complaints, and complete required reports such as Problem Resolution Reports and R.A.R.E. Recommend program cost‑control measures to supervisor. Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement processes, including peer review, audits, Joint Commission survey preparation, and clinical path implementation. Select and supervise adjunctive therapists and student interns, ensuring competency in behavior‑ and skill‑based tasks. Maintain accurate, complete, and up‑to‑date clinical documentation in the patient chart. Suggest safety and quality measures for unit areas to charge nurse. Serve as a professional role model through quality clinical practice, work habits, and ongoing professional development. Perform other functions as required. Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field. New Mexico licensure as an LCSW or LPCC.
