Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Albany, NY. The right candidate must have at least 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements. Responsibilities As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for using diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring images are accurate and passed to physicians for interpretation, and preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing. Tasks Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required. Follow orders from physicians regarding the area of the body to be imaged. Correctly position the patient and adjust equipment to the appropriate position. Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure by taking appropriate protection precautions. Calibrate imaging equipment. Prepare results for physician review. Maintain accurate patient records. Understand and use the McKesson PACS system. Requirements At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist. BLS certification. ARRT (R) National Certification. State‑specific licensing when required. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
