Safety Specialist [JP-14938]

A leading MEP contractor is looking to appoint a Safety Specialist in the south Milwaukee area. This role will involve heavy relationship building, boots-on-the-ground safety leadership, and strong career growth opportunities.
The Role:
- Day-to-day job site inspections, accident investigations, trainings, and audits. Once established in the role, writing plans and identifying key areas for improvement.
- Building strong relationships with operational staff - on the jobsite with the field team and in an office setting.
- Travelling across the region to jobsites (day trips).
- Work in partnership with the Safety Director in highlighting key safety metrics/trends/areas of improvement on projects. Will have supportive, engaged leadership, but the role will demand an autonomous problem-solver.
The Candidate:
- Previous EHS experience required; Construction preferred.
- Based in the Milwaukee area, and able to travel to job sites throughout the region (reports out of Oak Creek, Wisconsin).
- A strong communicator and relationship-builder who is passionate about safety and who can make a strong, proactive impact.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or other related discipline (preferred).
