Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Women's Health Nurse PractitionerSWLA Center for Health Services, Inc. will use the services of mid-level practitioners to compliment the care being provided by the Physicians employed by the Center. SWLA is seeking a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner who specializes in providing primary and specialty care to women across the lifespan, as well as providing care to pregnant women, to ensure women receive the care they need to maintain their health and well-being. This includes, but not limited to, preventative care such as annual exams and screenings, gynecological exams, management of diabetes and hypertension.Education, Training and Experience:Master's degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Women's Health focusCurrent WHNP certification (NCC)Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practiceDEA license and prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain)CPR/BLS certificationExperience working in an FQHC or community health settingBilingual (preferred, not required)Experience serving diverse and underserved populationsStrong clinical assessment and diagnostic skillsCommitment to patient-centered, trauma-informed careExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamFamiliarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation standardsJob Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive women's health services including well-woman exams, gynecologic care, prenatal and postpartum care (as applicable), family planning, and menopause managementDiagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic women's health conditionsPerform and interpret diagnostic tests, including Pap smears, STI testing, and pregnancy testingPrescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state and federal regulationsProvide patient education on reproductive health, disease prevention, and wellnessCollaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, nurses, and care teams to ensure coordinated careMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance activitiesUphold FQHC, HRSA, and organizational policies and standardsWork Environment & Physical Demands:Clinical setting with direct patient careAbility to sit, stand, and move throughout the clinic dayOccasional lifting of supplies or equipment
