Position: Skin Science Store Supervisor

Reports To: Director of Cosmetics 

Position Summary  

Responsible for assisting in retail inventory management, product merchandising, assisting with overseeing/coordinating the retail activities of the practice, and utilizing ModMed for check out processes. Offers consultative services to patients to make the best recommendation of products to patients, assists with staff training, including but not limited to—check-out process in ModMed, brand awareness, product knowledge, sales/education techniques, etc. 

The Skin Science Store Supervisor at CCSD and CSS plays a vital role in enhancing the retail environment and advancing patient satisfaction. Acting as a liaison between doctors, patients, CCSD/Skin Science staff and leadership, and vendors. This position fosters a culture of exceptional service and effective communication.  

In addition to providing tailored product recommendations that enrich patients’ skincare journeys, the Skin Science Store Supervisor will develop and implement retail growth strategies aligned with the practice's marketing goals, along with the Director of Cosmetics. This role includes optimizing customer experiences through loyalty programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and establishing key performance indicators to assess retail operations. 

Collaboration with the clinical and concierge teams to integrate retail offerings into patient care, leveraging technology for operational efficiency, and fostering community relationships are essential components of this role. Through a combination of collaboration and innovation, the Skin Science Store Supervisor will contribute to the ongoing success of the retail sector within our practice, ensuring a luxurious and satisfying experience for every patient. 

Essential Functions  

1. Patient Care:  

• Utilize cutting-edge Visia Skin Care Analysis technology to recommend product solutions that best fit patient needs.  
• Recommend complementary products or new products after reviewing the patient notes .  
• Educate patients and team members on effective cosmetic product usage, enhancing their overall experience and satisfaction.  
• Proactively address patient inquiries regarding retail products and follow up after purchases to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.  
• Coordinate product replenishment outreach three to four months post-purchase to maintain ongoing engagement and support via phone, text, email or mail as appropriate and necessary. 
• Monitor and document patient reactions to products, ensuring communication with providers as needed.  
• Efficiently manage patient checkout processes, including entering charges and collecting payments.  
• Shadow healthcare providers regularly to stay aligned with treatment protocols and patient recommendations.  

1. Inventory Management  

• Reviews inventory stock monthly and notify Director of Cosmetics of low stock. 
• Along with Director of Cosmetics, oversees retail inventory master lists, identifying and correcting descriptions and stock/skew numbers 
• Oversees/locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors 
• Review retail products and inventory stock monthly. Send Purchase Orders to the Director of Finance and Director of Cosmetics for approval.  
• Order approved products for inventory. 
• Oversees merchandising products on shelves to maximize product sales. 
• Updates correct product pricing in inventory software. 
• Analyzes product lists and make recommendations for discontinuing duplicate products or filling gaps. 
• Manages staff product requests, acquires and distributes to staff. 
• Manages product returns and adverse reactions with sales representatives. 

1. Administrative:  

• Analyze sales trends and customer feedback to identify new market opportunities and product lines that can enhance patient satisfaction.  
• Evaluate and enhance the in-store experience, ensuring that all touchpoints meet the luxury standards of the practice. 
• Partner with the clinical team to integrate retail offerings with patient care plans, ensuring cohesive communication regarding product recommendations. 
• Maintain accurate Daily Sales Spreadsheets to track retail performance.  
• Merchandise products strategically to maximize visibility and sales potential.  
• Coach and mentor staff, applying best practices for performance management and development.  
• Stay ahead of market trends, sharing innovative ideas with our Director of Cosmetics and Medical Director to elevate our services.  
• Oversee the online store to facilitate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.  
• Generate and review monthly, quarterly, and annual product sales reports with the Executive Director and Director of Cosmetics.   
• Continuously seek ways to enhance retail operations and streamline processes, contributing to overall efficiency.  
• Work collaboratively with leadership to ensure seamless operations and exceptional patient experiences.  

Requirements

• Must be physically capable of lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods. 
• Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulations to maintain a compliant and safe environment 

  Education and Experience  

• One to two years of lead or supervisor experience required 
• Two or more years of sales experience required 
• One to two years of inventory management required
