We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Cook II in Boston!
We have a passion for hospitality culinary delights on every elevated floor and in the sky. With our three business segments, Airline Catering, International Event Catering, Restaurants, Lounges & Hotels, we offer gourmet entertainment all over the world. We operate in 33 locations, 12 countries and 3 Continents, maintaining the highest standard of quality in both our products and services. We refine the classics, develop the unknown and grow constantly – sometimes beyond our own expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate cooking techniques such as prepping, roasting, broiling, braising, sautéing, and grilling.
- Responsible for preparing sauces, marinating proteins, and assembling complex dishes tailored for airline service.
- Create products in terms of freshness, taste, and consistency to the specification of the airline and DO & CO's standards.
- Supervise supply-chain systems by controlling the timing of food production flow and processing to avoid delays.
- Notify the Chef/Sous Chef of any shortages or discrepancies in products or ingredients.
- Supports the training and supervision of Line Cook 1 employees, ensuring adherence to airline catering standards and procedures.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years cooking experience.
- Proactive and organized approach to duties.
- Capability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines.
- Accurately monitor wastage.
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
