Production Assembly Technician

Our client is currently seeking a Production Assembly Technician
Location: St Paul, MN
Duration: 24 months


Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and test electro-mechanical components and systems.
• Perform wired assembly integration and box-build activities.
• Support design-for-manufacturing initiatives and production design updates.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and external manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on hardware requirements, including connectors, indicators, and user interfaces.
• Program circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and conduct system-level testing.
• Perform optical assembly, alignment, calibration, and focusing tasks.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair defective equipment and assemblies.
• Investigate product failures and implement corrective actions.
• Document test procedures and results.
• Support production planning and ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
• Monitor material availability to maintain production schedules.
• Participate in flight testing activities and record findings.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and are delivered defect-free.

• Manage engineering change documentation, including drawings, revisions, and design updates.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering and production teams regarding product improvements and technical questions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for contract manufacturers and manage technical data packages.
• Coordinate and implement quality assurance processes with manufacturing partners.
• Prioritize hands-on production support to meet customer delivery commitments.

• Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
• Candidates without a degree may be considered with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 certification within three months of employment.
• Ability to independently interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, particularly PTC Creo, is a plus.
