Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact in San Francisco by serving as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position offers the chance to support diverse student populations in K-12 settings, working across multiple school sites within the district. Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting students’ independence, participation, and success within an educational environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Occupational Therapist license valid in the state of California (required)
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and work effectively across multiple campuses
• Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional abilities and develop individualized interventions to support their academic and daily living needs
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, adapting to their IEP goals
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to design classroom strategies supporting student participation
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress, attendance, and outcomes
• Travel to assigned school sites within the district as an itinerant OT; onsite presence required
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and support teachers in therapeutic strategies
• Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations
