Work Environment\n

This full-time role offers a unique remote work setting, allowing you to provide essential mental health services from the comfort of your home while maintaining close ties to our outpatient office in North Babylon. Our work environment fosters flexibility, with regular hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, promoting a healthy work-life balance and enabling our counselors to focus wholly on their clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their unique care needs and developing tailored treatment plans.

• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions that specifically address emotional issues related to aging, grief, and significant life transitions.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that prioritize the mental well-being of our geriatric clients.

• Educate family members and staff on effective strategies to enhance the emotional health and quality of life for seniors, ensuring that they are equipped to support their loved ones.

• Offer specialized grief and loss counseling to clients and their families facing end-of-life issues, ensuring compassionate support during difficult times.

• Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health interventions to promote mental acuity and overall psychological wellness among elderly individuals.

Qualifications\n
