Associate Scientist, Production

Associate Scientist position manufacturing competent cells for product lines at LGC Group's Middleton facility. Role involves cell production, quality control, documentation, and process improvement activities within an ISO 13485 regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture electrocompetent and chemically competent cell batches per established procedures
• Perform quality control testing on completed competent cell batches and document results
• Support manufacturing, materials management, and maintenance operations within quality systems
• Conduct studies and protocols supporting process improvements and corrective/preventative actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, QC, and warehousing to meet production plans

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED minimum; bachelor's degree in life sciences preferred
• 2+ years laboratory experience with biological materials and standard equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies and technical processes
• Aseptic technique experience and molecular biology techniques preferred
• Cell culture or pharma/biotech industry experience in ISO-certified environments preferred
