Make an immediate impact supporting students with diverse physical needs during a short-term assignment in a vibrant educational setting near Aurora, IL. This onsite contract offers the opportunity to provide physical therapy services across a range of grade levels, with a special emphasis on assisting transition-age students (20–22 years old). Your expertise will help students build vital gross motor skills, fostering independence and participation in school activities.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Illinois Physical Therapist license required
• Strong background in pediatric physical therapy
• Previous experience delivering therapy in a school environment
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
• Skilled in adapting interventions to suit individual education plans

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver educationally related physical therapy services to students receiving special education support
• Conduct assessments and create targeted intervention plans addressing gross motor deficits
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student participation
• Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state regulations
• Focus on both acquisition and compensation strategies to promote functional mobility and independence

This assignment spans from August 17 to November 4, covering a total of 37.5 hours per week during the school term. You’ll work onsite, engaging directly with students and colleagues to improve physical outcomes and support each learner’s educational journey.
