(Schedule may vary based on program, client needs, and service setting.) As a Therapist, you will provide professional counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, establish diagnoses, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions designed to support recovery, resilience, and overall well-being. Conduct intake, screening, and comprehensive clinical assessments within established regulatory, accreditation, and organizational timeframes. Evaluate assessment findings and establish appropriate diagnoses within the scope of professional licensure and applicable standards. Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect assessment findings, client strengths, identified needs, and treatment goals. Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including counseling, psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, trauma-focused services, and co-occurring treatment as appropriate. Facilitate individual and group counseling, family therapy, psychoeducation, and specialty behavioral health services. Participate in clinical staffing, treatment team meetings, case reviews, and multidisciplinary consultations. Maintain an assigned caseload and meet department-specific Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) requirements. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure services are appropriately authorized and required information is submitted within established timeframes. Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Ensure clinical documentation accurately reflects services provided, supports treatment plans, and meets applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. Review and correct documentation, charting, and file deficiencies within established timeframes. Coordinate transitions in care and complete required transition summaries, treatment plans, letters, and other clinical correspondence. Provide crisis intervention and participate in or coordinate emergency services when necessary. Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, families, referral sources, coworkers, providers, and community partners. Provide clinical consultation to treatment team members and other professionals within the scope of practice. Provide training, education, and guidance regarding clinical issues and evidence-based behavioral health practices as appropriate. Provide clinical supervision to students, interns, or professionals in training when qualified and authorized to do so. Represent the organization professionally within the community and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and community partners. Participate in required supervision, meetings, training, professional development, and quality improvement activities. Maintain compliance with professional ethics, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal regulations. Support organizational short- and long-term goals and initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership. Education and/or Experience Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution required. Previous professional experience providing behavioral health and/or substance use disorder services preferred. Experience conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, diagnosing, and providing individual and group therapy preferred. Experience working with individuals and families experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges preferred. Experience providing telehealth services preferred. Required License/Certification: Current professional licensure in the state of practice required. Acceptable licenses may include: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Other equivalent professional behavioral health licenses as permitted by applicable state regulations. Must maintain all required professional licenses and certifications throughout employment. Must be willing to obtain and maintain professional licensure in additional states as required by organizational needs. Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance required. Additional Qualifications: Strong knowledge of diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment approaches for mental health and/or substance use disorders. Thorough understanding of behavioral health treatment modalities, rehabilitation methods, and recovery-oriented practices. Knowledge of clinical, ethical, legal, regulatory, and documentation requirements related to behavioral health services. Familiarity with court procedures and legal requirements related to mental health and/or substance use treatment preferred. Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to establish effective therapeutic relationships through in-person, telephone, and telehealth interactions. Ability to prepare clear, concise, and clinically appropriate documentation. Strong caseload management, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to crisis situations. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary treatment teams. Ability to provide clinical consultation and guidance within the scope of professional practice. Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-focused care. Proficiency with electronic health records, Microsoft Office, telehealth platforms, and other technology used to support clinical services. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and appropriately safeguard confidential client information. Comfortable providing telehealth services; training will be provided. Flexibility to provide services across multiple settings based on program needs. Supervisory Requirements: None. Clinical supervision responsibilities may be assigned to appropriately licensed and qualified Therapists based on program needs and applicable professional requirements. Employment Requirements: Successful completion of background screening, including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks. Completion of New Hire Orientation upon hire. Completion of all required training, including Relias training, upon hire and annually thereafter. Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of automobile insurance. Obtain First Aid certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafter. Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafter. Complete Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment or at the first available class following the start date: CPI for Residential programs. Peaceful Intervention or Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient programs. Demonstrate understanding of Collaborative Service Goals (CSGs) within thirty (30) days of employment. Complete thirty-six (36) hours of required training within a two-year period in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. ASAM Programs: Complete fifty (50) hours of required training annually. CPRC: Complete Growth and Development and Privileging and Credentialing forms within thirty (30) days of employment, as applicable. Maintain knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations applicable to the assigned program. Provide copies of all applicable professional licenses, certifications, and credentials. Comply with all applicable state, federal, regulatory, and accreditation and organizational requirements. School-Based Services: Ability to provide services at assigned school sites during school operating hours when applicable. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform sedentary work, including sitting for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms for typing, clinical documentation, and electronic health record management. Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift materials weighing up to 10 pounds. Ability to travel between office, community, school, and client locations as required by the assigned program. Ability to work across office, clinical, community, school-based, and telehealth environments. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis situations and follow established safety and intervention procedures. Visual ability to read clinical documentation and work on computer screens for extended periods. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through telehealth platforms.
