Job Title: Travel RN - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital Med/Surg experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Minimum 1-year acute care hospital Med/Surg experience - BLS Description: This travel RN position is for Med/Surg. The unit serves patients with post-operative needs and requires wound and dressing care. The unit consists of 18-20 beds and has approximately 35 staff members. Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2-3 nurses, 1 LPN, and 1-3 PCTs. Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3 nurses, 1 LPN, and 1-2 PCTs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1 with an LPN. Equipment used in the unit includes Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacs, and PCA pumps. EMR utilized is Meditech. Candidates with burn care, wound care, or ostomy care experience are preferred. The best personality fit for this unit is a team player with a positive attitude.
