Junior Architectural Designer

The Role We are looking for a Junior Architectural Designer with strong AutoCAD skills to join our team and support the creation of accurate as-built drawing packages. We use technologies such as 3D scanning to capture critical information about existing site conditions, allowing our team to translate site conditions, assets, attributes, and client standards into accurate architectural drawing packages. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in architectural design and documentation and an interest in developing their skills across as-built documentation, construction drawings, BIM, 3D technology, and data-driven design. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Create and edit architectural, merchandising, and technical drawing packages using tools such as AutoCAD, Illustrator, and Bluebeam. Leverage technology tools such as 3D models, point clouds and other data sources todevelop, review, and validate the accuracy of architectural and data packages. Review assets and attributes within client standards and ensure they are applied accordingly to all models and data summaries. Complete assigned quality assurance reviews and incorporate feedback into deliverables. Manage assigned drawing packages and deliver them within established timelines and project expectations. Work closely with a cross-functional team of other Architectural Technologists and other associates from different departments. Participate in team knowledge-sharing and continuous learning. Develop proficiency across the department's technology platforms, processes, and standards. What Success Looks Like... You can take 3D scans, point clouds, existing information, and client standards and translate them into clear, reliable drawing packages. Qualifications What You'll Bring Diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Drafting, or a related field. At least one year of professional experience with a variety of design projects. Strong proficiency with AutoCAD. Proficiency with Adobe CS Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Bluebeam. Working knowledge of Revit is an asset. Working knowledge of 3D design software is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to manage a variety of tasks within a tight time schedule. Excellent quantitative, analytical, written, and oral communication skills. Strong work ethic and highly developed problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
