Ready for a new opportunity? Meyling Marin Farmers Insurance Agency in Riverside, California, is looking for a motivated and personable Bilingual Customer Service Sales Representative to join our team full-time.

Are you fluent in both Spanish and English and enjoy helping people while also having sales conversations? If you have strong customer service skills, are comfortable recommending products, and want to build a long-term career in the insurance industry, we'd love to meet you.

Please note: This is not a customer service-only position . Approximately 30% of the daily workload will involve identifying cross-selling and bundling opportunities with existing clients. You'll be expected to recognize opportunities to recommend additional insurance products that genuinely benefit our clients.

Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills are required for this position . You'll regularly communicate with clients in both languages, so the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in Spanish and English is essential.

You don't need prior insurance experience to be successful in this role. If you've worked in customer service, retail, banking, hospitality, telecommunications, or sales, we'll teach you the insurance side of the business. You'll receive the training and support you need to succeed, along with the opportunity to earn commission on successful cross-sells.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify cross-sell and bundling opportunities with existing monoline clients (approximately 30% of daily workload)
• Communicate with clients in English and Spanish to provide exceptional customer service and discuss insurance products and coverage options
• Offer bundled policies to clients for additional discounts and coverage
• Initiate and confidently handle sales conversations with existing clients
• Process customer policy change requests
• Take premium payments from customers
• Secure all trailing documents from customers
• Complete Evidence of Insurance requests
• Provide ongoing support to insurance clients as needed
• Follow up with clients to ensure their needs are addressed and opportunities are properly handled

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English — required
• Prior sales experience in any industry — retail, telecommunications, real estate, automotive, banking, hospitality, etc. — strongly preferred; insurance sales experience is a plus, not required
• Comfortable initiating sales conversations and asking for the business
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or coverage
• Ability to build relationships with clients from a cold start
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Spanish
• Excellent spelling and grammar
• Strong multi-tasking, follow-through, and follow-up skills
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Property and Casualty license preferred; candidates without a license will receive support to obtain one
• Must complete the Problem Solving and Personality assessments provided during the application process — candidates who complete both will be given priority
