Job Overview EK is looking for a full‑time welder ready to work hard and build welding experience with our team. The role involves welding a wide variety of metals and alloys, navigating blueprints and directions, and advancing welding skills. Responsibilities Successfully read and understand American and European blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols to meet or exceed client expectations. Use GMAW‑P, GMAW‑S, and GTAW to effectively weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts together per the weld process specification sheet. Perform welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Lay out weldments with little to no supervision or assistance. Use fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts to customer specifications. Assist with creating work instructions. Complete first‑piece, in‑process, and final inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures. Perform pressure testing of fuel tanks and hydro testing of glycol tanks. Travel between plants and adapt to product‑mix requirements at each facility. Analyze weld processes and recommend process improvements. Demonstrate technical skills needed to perform essential job duties and remain current with welding developments and trends. Manage time effectively to complete all work in a timely manner. Technical Skills Knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties, including mastery of GMAW‑P, GMAW‑S, and GTAW, blueprint reading, and pressure or hydro testing. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED, plus 1 to 3 years of GMAW‑P, GMAW‑S, and GTAW experience, preferably in a job shop. Ability to read and interpret American and European blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols, and perform pressure or hydro test tanks. Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted. Physical Demands The job requires physical exertion including lifting, standing for prolonged periods, and working in varied environmental conditions. (Full details available upon request.)
