About the Role
The Company is seeking an AVP for Acquisition Fraud Strategy and Model Monitoring. This multi-functional role is pivotal in the credit fraud acquisitions strategy team, with a primary focus on overseeing the performance of fraud models, conducting in-depth data analytics to identify and address model performance issues, and developing action plans for models that are deteriorating. The successful candidate will work closely with model developers and the credit strategy validation team to create remediation plans and will be involved in the evaluation of new fraud models and technology tools. Additionally, the role requires the development of enhanced monitoring reporting, supporting the implementation of fraud strategies, and ensuring that the best available tools and scores are used. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years' of experience in building analytically derived strategies within financial services, or a Master's degree with an advanced analytic focus. A strong background in statistical tools such as SAS, Python, and Tableau is essential, as is expert-level proficiency in Excel. The role demands an individual with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and is capable of managing multiple projects. Experience in retail, business, installment loans, or private label credit, as well as a strong understanding of the consumer credit lending lifecycle and fraud models, is highly desirable. The candidate should also be familiar with model evaluation metrics and modeling approaches, and have the ability to collaborate across functions and teams.
