Essential Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation facility located in Arlington, Virginia. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our cutting-edge rehabilitation facility in Arlington, Virginia. You will work standard hours from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, allowing for a well-structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized physical therapy interventions tailored to each patient's specific goals and conditions while maintaining an effective and manageable patient load for optimal engagement.
• Employ your expertise in orthopedic care to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on restoring function and mobility.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to guide therapeutic decisions and ensure the highest standard of care, through techniques such as manual therapy and exercise prescription.
• Educate patients on their conditions and the therapeutic processes involved, emphasizing the importance of adopting a preventive approach to healthcare.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best outcomes, including regular assessments and feedback sessions.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatments provided, utilizing EMR systems like WebPT to streamline your record-keeping.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to coordinate care and enhance recovery pathways for patients.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to foster a positive outlook and commitment to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries who seek to regain their mobility and quality of life. You will work with a diverse client base, including athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals dealing with chronic pain or movement restrictions.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated expertise in various manual therapy approaches and the ability to construct effective exercise regimens that promote recovery and wellness.
• Proficient with EMR software, particularly WebPT, for accurate documentation and patient tracking.
• Strong understanding of contemporary physical therapy methodologies supported by current research, ensuring best practices in patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience specifically in orthopedic outpatient therapy is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities, including dry needling or ultrasound therapy, is a plus.
• A track record of successfully developing and implementing patient-centered care plans that yield beneficial results.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience.
