Staff Accountant

Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing activities.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial close processes.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and support financial reporting.
- Track project costs and assist with job-cost accounting.
- Review certificates of insurance and manage business license renewals.
- Provide administrative support as needed and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices.
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks is required.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in construction, real estate development, or another project-based industry is a plus.
