Experienced Case Fitter Nesco Resource is hiring a 1st shift Experienced Case Fitter for a local client in Hickory, NC. Payrate starts at $16.00 an hour. Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. A case fitter is a furniture manufacturing worker who builds the main exterior shell of "casegoods" (storage furniture like dressers, cabinets, and desks) and precisely fits movable components like drawers and doors. Frame Assembly: Receives raw panels, end pieces, tops, and bottoms from machining departments to construct the structural outer "case" frame. Drawer Fitting: Tests, planes, or trims the sides and bottoms of wooden drawers so they slide smoothly and evenly into the case openings without binding. Door and Hardware Installation: Hangs doors, attaches hinges, inserts magnetic catches, and aligns lid supports or stops so everything opens and closes properly.
