Salary Range: $44,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Haven that are seeking skilled Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, communicating effectively with suppliers.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accuracy of pricing and terms.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Recommended Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for financial transactions.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume invoice processing and timely collections.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems specific to manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as applied in a manufacturing context.
- Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts, including intercompany transactions common in manufacturing.
- Proven experience with cost accounting principles relevant to production processes.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and its impact on AP/AR.
