Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Mother-Baby, Couplet Care, and Post Partum specialties. This role requires a strong clinical background and the ability to provide high-quality care to new mothers and infants in a postpartum setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for postpartum patients, including those with vaginal or cesarean deliveries.
• Administer blood and blood products as needed.
• Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps.
• Utilize wound vacs as necessary for patient care.
• Administer medications such as heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.
• Deliver care related to OB-GYN and post-operative recovery, ensuring proper postpartum care.
• Conduct normal newborn care, including thermoregulation and glucose management.
• Facilitate couplet care, supporting both mother and infant during their transition.
• Provide care for patients readmitted postpartum, addressing any complications or concerns.
• Ensure adherence to protocols and quality standards while providing patient education.
• Participate in floating to the NICU or Labor & Delivery as required by staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Must have BLS and NRP certifications.
• Experience in post-operative care, OB-GYN, and postpartum management.
• Ability to work weekends and float between units as necessary.
• Competency in managing low-risk antepartum patients and transition nursery protocols.

Work Schedule

This position requires a full-time commitment covering day shifts of 4x12 hours from 07:00 to 19:30. Flexible scheduling to meet staffing needs may include weekend shifts and floating among units.
