Job Purpose

The Accounting Assistant position is responsible for assisting with general accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations. This position is located in Sioux Falls, SD and is eligible for our hybrid work environment working 3 days onsite and 2 days remote/home office.


Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations and month-end close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Help maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Participate in audits to ensure compliance with internal controls
• Perform data entry and support document management
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy
• Other accounting duties as assigned

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 1-2 years of accounting experience is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior internship or related experience a plus, but not required

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $54,375.00 - $79,750.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
