The Enterprise Project Manager III works within the Office of Strategic Services and is responsible for managing Information technology related project(s), from concept through delivery. This role will be responsible for the planning, execution, and rollout of top priority IT initiatives. The Enterprise Project Manager III role will also be involved with maturing the project management methodology, policies, processes, tools and templates, governance, and organizational change management practices to contribute to successful delivery of projects within the Office of Information Technology at UTD. There will be a significant focus on CRM and Data projects rollout and adoption.

Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field. Minimum eight (8) years direct work experience in project management, including all aspects of process development and execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set priorities and implement project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with IT leadership and stakeholders. Develop and execute OCM plans (stakeholder engagement, communications, training, adoption, and readiness). Assess organizational readiness and change impacts across business units; identify gaps and mitigation strategies. Partner with Business Relationship Managers and leadership to drive stakeholder alignment and adoption. Establish change metrics and adoption KPIs to track user engagement, utilization, and value realization. Create and deliver executive-level messaging and communications plans to support transformation initiatives. Partner with engineering and architecture teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Support forward-looking development practices, including Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery pipelines. Develop full-scale actionable project plans managing project communications, dependencies, risks, and critical path in University delivery tools. Estimate the resources and skills needed to achieve project goals. Create project budgets, track the financials, and recommend budget changes when necessary. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Communication at leadership levels as needed by the project including ability to create/deliver presentations. Gather status report contents from the project team, analyze results, mitigate risks and issues. Proactively plan and manage change in project scope, timeline, or cost, and devise contingency plans. Define, track, and communicate project success criteria and benefits throughout the project life cycle. Learn, train, and evangelize the use of the Project Portfolio Management tool.

Project Planning and Execution: Set priorities, define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and develop full-scale actionable project plans. Track milestones and deliverables while coordinating with cross-functional business units and internal departments. – 20%

Resource and Budget Management: Estimate resources and participants needed for project goals, create project budgets, track financials, and recommend budget changes when necessary. – 20%

Communication and Relationship Building: Build relationships and communicate project expectations and status to team members and stakeholders. Communicate at leadership levels and create/deliver presentations as needed. – 15%

Risk and Issue Management: Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team, manage project dependencies, risks, and critical path, and proactively manage changes in project scope, timeline, or cost. – 10%

Organizational Change management: Conduct technology adoption reviews, create recommendations reports, and work with the OIT Executive Leadership team to improve change management techniques and rollout strategies. – 20%

Forward Development & Engineering Alignment: Partner with technical teams to translate business needs into scalable, future-ready solutions. Coordinating with architecture and development teams to support Agile and DevOps practices, aligning product roadmaps with implementation plans, and promoting continuous delivery and modernization efforts – 15%

KSA's: Expert understanding of Project Management methodologies to include Agile, Project Management Body of Knowledge and Project Management Institute standards. (PMP Certification) Experience delivering CRM (preferably higher education) capabilities with Canvas and Salesforce Strong understanding of organizational change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR). Ability to drive stakeholder adoption, change readiness, and cultural transformation. Experience collaborating with engineering teams in Agile or product-based delivery models. Proven ability to align technical delivery with strategic business outcomes. Servant Leader – Team Player. Managed ego focuses on collective team success over personal recognition, shares credit. Experience working in higher education preferred.
