Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - Experience in Renal Med Surg - Familiarity with Epic charting system Description: The position is for a registered nurse in the medical surgical specialty. The patient population primarily includes adults to geriatrics. The nurse will provide care for patients with renal conditions. The patient-nurse ratio is 1:5-6. The unit has an average daily census of 48 patients in a facility with 49 rooms. The nursing staff collaborates with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. Responsibilities include management of BiPAP/CPAP, central lines, colostomy/ileostomy care, and wound care. The nurse will also be involved in administering medications including insulin and managing IV lines. Compliance with required vaccinations is expected. Flexible scheduling includes weekend coverage and holiday work. RTO requests are limited to seven days per contract. The nursing professional must complete onboarding requirements within a specified timeframe.
