There are a total of 360 international affiliates. We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator Freight Forwarding to support and coordinate international ocean and air import shipments from origin through final delivery.The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with customers, overseas agents, steamship lines, airlines, truckers, customs brokers, suppliers, warehouses, and international teams to ensure shipments move efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate ocean and air import shipments from booking through final delivery.Monitor shipment milestones and provide proactive status updates to customers and internal teams.Communicate with overseas agents regarding shipment arrangements, documentation, and exceptions.Assist with arranging trucking, warehousing, and final-mile delivery services.Support customs brokers by providing the information and documentation required for customs clearance.Review shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists, for accuracy and completeness.Track cargo movements and help resolve transportation delays, delivery exceptions, and operational issues.Prepare shipment files and ensure all documentation is complete and properly maintained.Verify freight costs, vendor invoices, and customer billing information.Maintain accurate shipment records and prepare reports for management as needed.Respond to customer inquiries, assist with delivery scheduling, and provide timely problem resolution.Ensure compliance with company procedures, carrier requirements, and applicable international shipping regulations.Documentation & FormsThe position may involve working with:Bills of Lading (B/L)Air Waybills (AWB)Commercial InvoicesPacking ListsArrival NoticesISF (Importer Security Filing) documentationDelivery OrdersProof of Delivery (POD)Freight Invoices and Cost SheetsCargo Release DocumentsAMS / ACE filing informationVendor and customer billing documentsSystems & SoftwareExperience with or willingness to learn:Microsoft OutlookMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft WordMicrosoft TeamsUNIX w/Internal legacy TMS systemCarrier and airline tracking portalsSteamship line websitesAirline and container terminal websitesOnline shipment and cargo tracking systemsQualifications & Preferred SkillsPrevious experience or knowledge of ocean and/or air freight forwarding operations preferred.Understanding of general international import procedures preferred.Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and meet deadlines.Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, carriers, overseas agents, and internal teams.Compensation & Benefits$800 per weekPaid biweekly401(k) offeredMonday Friday, 8:30 AM 4:30 PMOn-site position in Valley Stream, NY 11580Apply Today!If you are organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building your career in international freight forwarding and logistics, we encourage you to apply for the Logistics Coordinator position.
