Job Description
Registered Nurse - Long Term Care

Schedule

Night shift: 36 hours per week from 18:45 to 07:15. Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
• First-time travelers accepted with skilled experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with PointClickCare required.
• LTAC experience required.
• Skills required: Nursing home care, blood pressure assessment, blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, catheter care, bowel management, wound care, and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a long-term care setting, focusing on geriatric patients.
• Administer medications and manage treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Compliance / Notes
