Registered Nurse - Inpatient Rehabilitation

This is a 3x12 hour shift position, working days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every third weekend and holidays as needed. Float between all campuses may be required.

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, catering to adults and geriatric patients with various neurological and rehabilitation needs, including but not limited to stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-operative care. The RN will monitor patient health, administer medication, perform assessments, and facilitate communication among the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Interpret laboratory results and reconcile medications accurately.
• Perform dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
• Handle phlebotomy tasks, including specimen labeling and collection.
• Engage in telephone triage and manage pharmacy calls for patient refill requests.
• Provide care to patients with neurological diagnoses and rehabilitative needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care rehab experience preferred.
• Active RN license required at the time of application.
• BLS certification required.
• EPIC charting system experience is necessary.
• Experience in managing patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7 (equivalent acuity) is preferred.
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry is advantageous.
