Job Description

As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate and retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants. This driving position offers the opportunity to deliver outstanding customer service while using teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, customers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial retail property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general property information, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications, while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
