What You'll Do

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments
• Reprocess scopes and probes, ensuring high-level disinfection (HLD)
• Document equipment usage and sterilization procedures accurately
• Prepare instrument trays for a wide variety of cases, including spine, neuro, ortho, eye, ENT, GYN, urology, plastics, vascular, and Da Vinci surgeries
• Maintain infection control standards and uphold safety protocols in all tasks
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments
• Support department operations during your assigned shift

What You Need

• Current CBSPD or HSPA certification required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in sterile processing or related field
• Experience with sterilization, decontamination, and scope reprocessing
• Knowledge of instrumentation for various surgical specialties
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards

Preferred:

• Experience working with robotic surgical instruments
• Flexibility in handling multiple scope types (bronchoscopes, endoscopes, etc.)
• Prior experience in a hospital environment

About the Assignment
This role is based at a short-term acute care hospital, a Magnet-recognized, teaching facility with a Level III trauma designation, housing 672 beds. You will support a busy surgical department with a wide variety of complex cases, ensuring all instruments and scopes are properly sterilized and ready for use.
