Job Description:
As a Behavioral Health RN, youll care for patients with psychiatric conditions, emotional disorders, and substance abuse challenges. You’ll assess mental health needs, implement individualized care plans, and support patient safety in a secure, therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

/n

/n
- Assess, monitor, and document patient mental health status and behaviors
/n
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects or reactions
/n
- Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
/n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
/n
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and coping strategies
/n
- Maintain a safe environment in accordance with facility policies and state regulations
/n

Requirements:

- Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
/n
- BLS certification required; CPI or PMAB certification preferred
/n
- Minimum 1 year of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience
/n
- Strong communication, observation, and crisis management skills
/n
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in high-stress situations
/n
