Principal Software Product Owner (Onsite)

What You Will Do: Lead a software development team to design and develop our solution to control and monitor mission critical VLF transmitters Work collaboratively with the Product Manager, Software Architect, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to update and maintain the multi-year Feature Roadmap through development, integration, test, and deployment Decompose Features, groom Stories, establish dependencies, and plan with the development team for the next Increment (3 month lookahead) Support the Product Manager and Control Account Manager (CAM) in capturing data needed to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and opportunities Support software requirements and Unified Modeling Language (UML) design diagrams within a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool Support development and integration of multi-threaded embedded software using C and C++ within a Real Time Operating System (RTOS) Support integration and verification within our automated test framework Support document updates to meet customer Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) Support bid activities for customer related Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) What You Will Learn: Full software development lifecycle within defense industry Agile development within a classified environment Integration and validation on a variety of hardware controller cards Best practices in secure software coding on embedded systems Qualifications You Must Have: Experience leading a software development team within an Agile methodology Experience with software lifecycle processes, configuration control, and change management in high‑integrity development environments Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
