Systems Administrator (Windows), Principal Specialist P3 Location: US-TX-PLANO-465 ~ 465 Independence Pkwy ~ INDEPENDENCE Type: Onsite This position requires an active, transferable U.S. government‑issued Top Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. The role will be based in Plano, TX. What You Will Do Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. Manage Windows Server fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication. Deliver advanced support on L2/L3 tickets and troubleshoot technical issues reported by users. Administer and optimize virtualization platforms such as VMware vCenter and vSphere. Administer SharePoint, create and manage sites, configure sharing settings, manage groups, and control site storage limits. Support content management and collaboration needs in SharePoint. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, including integration of hardware and operating systems. Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements, provide documentation, and deliver training on advanced IT processes and procedures. Obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Ensure system availability 24x7; occasional work beyond normal hours may be required. Travel up to 10% to other U.S. domestic locations as business needs dictate. Qualifications You Must Have University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years. Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Top Secret clearance at time of hire. Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems. SharePoint administration experience. Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESX, or other virtual computing methods. Experience with scripting. Ability to develop and communicate technical documentation and processes. Qualifications We Prefer DoDD 8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) and an operating‑system certification. Experience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, or Rancher. Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF. In‑depth experience with Windows Server. SQL Server administration experience. Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as Centrify. Experience with JBOSS, APACHE or similar web server configuration. Experience with IT project lifecycle management processes.
