About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Morgantown, West Virginia, 26501!

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed stepdown unit serving trauma, general medical/surgical, and complex patient populations within a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Monitor and manage patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumatic fractures, respiratory compromise (BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomies, chronic vent-dependent patients), reconstructive/microvascular surgery, and advanced diabetic management
• Titrate drips including cardizem, labetalol, amiodarone, and others as clinically indicated; no sedative drips on this unit
• Perform continuous hemodynamic monitoring across all 24 telemetry-equipped beds; perform basic EKG interpretation in collaboration with telemetry technicians
• Participate in floating rotation on a shared basis with unit staff
• Adhere to weekend and holiday requirements on a rotational basis

• Active RN licensure (or compact equivalent) in good standing
• BLS certification (required and must be current/unexpired)
• Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Basic EKG interpretation skills
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Prior experience in a stepdown, PCU, or IMC setting
• Familiarity with BiPAP, CPAP, and chronic ventilator management
• Experience caring for trauma patients or in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Background in complex wound management or reconstructive/plastic surgery patient care

• Work in a state-of-the-art 24-bed unit with private rooms, in-ceiling lift equipment, and centralized telemetry monitoring - part of the only Level 1 Trauma Center in West Virginia
• Access to a structured unit orientation with a clinical preceptor and exceptional learning opportunities across a diverse, high-acuity patient population
