Clerical AssistantTo assist the Principal and Assistant Principal(s) with any type of clerical assistance needed. Also to assist school staff, students, and parents.High school diploma or equivalency requiredPreference will be given to those who speak Spanish.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Answer telephone, directs calls to appropriate personnel and takes detailed written messagesGive and obtain limited informationTake messages for students and deliver them between classesGreet visitors, parents and students who come to schoolCall students to the office when parents come to get themCall home for sick students if neededAssist in dispensing student medical if neededAdminister first aid to studentsCheck in students who are tardy and sign out students who leave earlyType any correspondence as needed by administrators or other school personnelCopy for teachers occasionallyMaintain files for a limited number of subjectsOperate a variety of standard office equipmentWork closely and effectively with the SIMS Operator and Financial SecretaryAll other duties as assigned by the principal and assistant principalClassified Salary Pay Scale; Grade C
