This role drives financial discipline and operational performance, requiring strong collaboration and influencing skills along with deep expertise in operations finance, cost accounting, inventory, variances, gross margin, US GAAP, and manufacturing processes.*This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, with an expectation of 2-3 in-office days per week and additional on-site presence as needed. The individual must reside in the San Diego area and be able to commute to our corporate offices.Key Responsibilities:Lead manufacturing finance planning cycles, including quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, monthly variance reporting, and ongoing monitoring of departmental budget adherence.Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, reporting packages, and executive-level insights on manufacturing, cost performance, and operational trends.Analyze financial results, manufacturing costs, purchase activity, work order variances, and project milestones to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities for margin improvement.Partner with manufacturing, site operations finance, corporate operations finance, and business leaders to support decision-making, investment analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and variance resolution.Support standard cost setting, annual cost roll activities, inventory and cost accounting processes, and compliance with financial policies, procedures, US GAAP, and internal control requirements.Interface with internal and external auditors and help maintain a strong control framework across manufacturing finance activities.Drive continuous improvement across operations finance processes, KPI reporting, forecast accuracy, and financial analytics to enable scalable and effective business support.Perform other related duties as business needs require.Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects long‑term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
