Electrician Apprentices

Overview Electrician Apprentice at Saulsbury Industries. Location: Mentone, TX. Full-time position. The role focuses on safety and performing electrical construction tasks within industrial environments. Responsibilities Perform miscellaneous tasks that require manually moving materials, tools, and equipment and using hand and power tools. Maintain work area cleanliness and perform safety-related duties. Communicate with various personnel regarding initiation of maintenance. Follow all job-related instructions from supervisors or designated representatives. Work in operating facilities and adhere to safety policies and procedures. Pull wires and perform related electrical tasks as assigned. Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements 6-47 months of experience in the industrial, electrical construction environment. Safety and Training Promote awareness of environmental, health, and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company policies. Ability to pass drug tests as mandated by the company and Department of Transportation anti-drug program. Attend and complete Saulsbury safety training; participate in safety meetings and specialty trainings as directed. Attend various training classes as may be assigned. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required and take needed safety precautions while performing work. Physical Requirements Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and depth perception; ability to see clearly at various distances and small details. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb 30-foot ladders without resting and to maintain balance on catwalks and in narrow spaces. Ability to stand for long periods; ability to reach above head and below knees; ability to stoop or kneel. Ability to work 60 or more hours per week and at heights of at least 20 feet. Work Environment Environment may include awkward or confining spaces, high places, outdoor and noisy, dirty conditions; exposure to air contaminants (dust, fumes); near or below freezing temperatures.
