Component Inspector

In addition, our Operations quality program and trained personnel ensure that our customer receives a quality product each and every time.Smith is currently seeking opportunities for detail-oriented, motivated, efficient and talented personnel to join our Global Operations team.Job Purpose:To support Operations by performing electronic component inspections and shipping and receiving dutiesPrinciple Accountabilities:Verify information visually, using various microscopic equipment and the naked eye, to insure the component matches manufacturer specificationsTo receive and ship orders in a timely fashionUnload all inbound shipments from various carriersOpen boxes, separate product and place in bins along with the waybill and pack listUtilize our proprietary system to complete, in detail, the component inspection and receiving processExamine components for physical defectsVerify Purchase Order/Sales Order requirements are metCommunicate with appropriate individuals when discrepancies ariseComplete internal /external labels per customer requirementsDocument product and shipping condition through picturesPackage material in appropriate containers with sufficient padding and protectionPlace required paperwork in/on shipmentsJob Qualifications:Minimum 1 year component or product inspection experience a plusKnowledge of Microsoft Office Excel a plusWritten and oral communication skills a mustMulti-tasking and organization skills requiredMinimum 1 year warehouse experience a plusKnowledge of the electronics distribution field is helpfulSmith is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#LI-AK1#LI-LD1We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
