POSITION TITLE: Electrician

ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Completing safe, compliant, and high-quality electrical installations, repairs, and inspections across residential and commercial properties; accurately diagnosing issues, responding to service requests, and maintaining detailed documentation; upholding regulatory standards, safety protocols, and professional conduct while supporting property management and maintenance teams to ensure reliable electrical systems and timely project completion.

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt W-2, Hourly - Full-Time

WORK SCHEDULE:


This schedule reflects 10 hours per day, totaling 40 hours per week, Tuesday and Friday, 7:00 AM-6:00 PM. Scheduling needs may vary based on business demands, and adjustments may be required as reasonably assigned.

COMPENSATION RANGE: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour commensurate on experience, education and credentials.

BENEFITS: This position is eligible for standard W-2 employee benefits, including but not limited to those outlined in the Company's official benefits package. ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: 50% of the time. You will use a company vehicle. There is no additional compensation for travel.

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a reliable, experienced Electrician to support a wide range of residential and commercial electrical projects, repairs, and maintenance needs across properties in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate is a licensed professional who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and complete projects safely and efficiently.

This is a full-time position. Work may include routine maintenance, installations, inspections, emergency repairs, and renovation support.

SCHEDULED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs for residential and commercial properties
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including short circuits, faulty wiring, or malfunctioning fixtures
• Install and maintain lighting, outlets, switches, panels, circuit breakers, and electrical systems
• Conduct inspections and ensure work complies with local, state, and NEC electrical codes
• Respond to service calls, emergency repairs, and general maintenance requests as scheduled
• Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams as needed
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on task

UNSCHEDULED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist supervisor with work related requests.
• Responsible for following regulations of COMAR, CARF, any other regulatory body, and company policies/ procedures related to service delivery and documentation and co-facilitating orientation of all new hires to these as well.
• Support the maintenance of a safe environment by participating in training and drills as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment.
• Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (CARF/CSA/OHCQ) as directed by the supervisor.
• Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement plans by completing periodic audits or other activities to ensure regulatory compliance and/or improve service delivery.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100 pounds; and regularly drive a motor vehicle.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Exposure to potentially hazardous materials, heights, and tight spaces.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain situations.

COMPETENCY AND SKILLS

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
• Proficiency in a variety of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with local and national electrical codes
• Own tools and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must carry or be willing to obtain general liability insurance (if 1099)
• Experience in property management or multifamily housing maintenance
• Ability to estimate project costs and materials
• Comfortable working in occupied units or tenant environments

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE

• Valid Maryland journeyman or master electrician license
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
