Credit Analyst

Whitecap Search is seeking a skilled professional to support Counterparty Risk Analysis across various sectors including Technology, Media, Telecom, Transportation, Digital Infrastructure, Diversified Industries, Energy, and Power.
Key Responsibilities- Review credit applications for completeness and consistency with internal policies, and follow up with the Front Office as needed.
- Perform impartial analysis of the borrower, group, and transaction structure based on term sheets, market studies, financial models, legal due diligence, and research.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reviews and risk opinions, including financial statement analysis, industry discussion, valuation, and other metrics in alignment with credit risk policies and procedures.
- Review and prepare internal rating models, making corrections as needed.
- Draft RPC Opinions and meet deadlines responsibly.
- Make recommendations in consultation with the Sector Credit Officer regarding exposure, ratings, and structure.
- Verify the accuracy of data in internal risk systems.
- Complete timely updates to all internal risk systems.
- Coordinate with international offices on credit proposals and analyses.
- Respond to requests from Loan Review and internal and external auditors.
- Complete special assignments and ad hoc projects as requested.
- Serve as a back-up analyst for files in other teams and sectors as needed.
- 5 years of credit or finance experience, preferably at a bank or rating agency.
