Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

TekPro is representing an established manufacturing company in the Kings Mountain, NC area that is looking to add an experienced Maintenance Technician to its team.This is a 1st shift, direct-hire opportunity for a well-rounded technician with a combination of mechanical, electrical, and fabrication experience. The position will focus on keeping production equipment running reliably through troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvements.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on manufacturing and production equipmentPerform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtimeRepair and replace motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, belts, chains, and other mechanical componentsTroubleshoot electrical systems, motors, sensors, switches, and controlsPerform welding and fabrication for equipment repairs, modifications, brackets, guards, and other plant needsTroubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systemsAssist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modificationsRespond to equipment breakdowns and identify the cause of recurring failuresRead equipment manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawingsMaintain a safe and organized work environmentPreferred BackgroundIndustrial or manufacturing maintenance experienceStrong mechanical troubleshooting abilitiesIndustrial electrical troubleshooting experienceWelding and fabrication skillsExperience with motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulicsAbility to independently diagnose and repair production equipmentPLC troubleshooting experience is a plusExperience in plastics, chemical, compounding, process manufacturing, or a similar production environment is a plusSchedule & Compensation1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PMUp to $35/hour, based on experienceFull-time, direct-hire opportunityStable manufacturing environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
