Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures
• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other invasive procedures
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and moderate sedation as prescribed
• Continuously monitor patient hemodynamic status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Operate and monitor specialized cardiac monitoring equipment
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with cardiologists, radiology staff, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, radiation safety, and quality care standards
• Participate in emergency response during cardiovascular emergencies when needed

Requirements

• Active RN License in California
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Experience with cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and vascular procedures
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac equipment preferred
