Sonographer / Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound / Sonography Technologist to join a dedicated team of imaging professionals in Atlanta, Georgia. The role focuses on performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and collaborating with clinicians to deliver high-quality imaging. Key Responsibilities Conduct a diverse array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging. Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear and compassionate explanations at each step. Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging. Maintain and operate imaging equipment, addressing any malfunctions in a timely manner. Accurately document procedures and manage patient records within the electronic medical system. Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging methodologies and best practices. Education Requirements Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred. Certifications Required Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred. Essential Skills Strong technical expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
