Temp to hire 1st shift 4:00 am - 2:30 pm - Monday-Thursday - Overtime Friday & Saturday

Position Summary: Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting equipment to produce quality parts according to production schedules, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.

Essential Duties:

• Operate laser cutting machines safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload sheet metal or other materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and drawings.
• Select and run appropriate machine programs.
• Verify dimensions using calipers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
• Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections.
• Troubleshoot cutting issues and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping of equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety and PPE requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating CNC laser equipment preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and measure accurately.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and walking for most of the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (varies by employer).
• Exposure to manufacturing noise and shop conditions.
• Must pass a measurement test
• Must have steel-toed boots
