CNC Machinist 2nd shift

Job Title CNC Machinist 2nd Shift (Huntsville, AL) Overview Leidos seeks a CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift on the Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and CNC lathes to produce precision parts. Primary Responsibilities The machinist must read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts. Experience manufacturing complex aerospace components from exotic materials such as titanium is a plus. 5‑axis and/or mill‑turn experience is a plus. The role will work on different projects in a fast‑paced R&D environment with minimal assistance. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or GED with at least 3 years of precision machining experience on CNC mills and CNC lathes. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds unassisted. Willingness to work overtime when required. Full‑time, 4‑days per week, 10‑hour shift, 2nd shift schedule. U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain or maintain a Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications 5‑axis machining experience with Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls and MAPS programming. Two years of 2‑D and 3‑D experience with a CAM software tool. Experience with SURFCAM, Edgecam or Catia. Experience machining in a prototype environment. Pay and Benefits Pay range $57,850.00 – $104,575.00.
