Chief of Staff, eCommerce

Remote, with substantial overlap with US Eastern Time

Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO

$140,000–$200,000 base

I’m recruiting a Chief of Staff for the founder and CEO of a substantial, self-funded US consumer products group selling at scale across Amazon, DTC, TikTok Shop and major retail.

This is not a strategy role disguised as an operating role. It is for someone who is exceptionally good at turning a founder’s decisions into company-wide action.

The founder is currently tracking close to 100 live initiatives across supply chain, product, growth, retail, finance and AI. Too many commitments still live inside Slack threads, meetings and his own memory.

He does not need someone to run the business for him. He needs an execution partner who ensures that what has been decided actually happens.

Your mandate will be to build a reliable execution system around the founder and return eight to ten hours of his time every week within your first 90 days.

What you will own

• Turn conversations and decisions into clear commitments, each with one owner, one deliverable and one deadline
\n
• Protect the founder’s attention by triaging Slack, email and meetings, resolving what you can and surfacing only what genuinely requires him
\n
• Follow up directly with senior leaders, identify slippage early and hold people accountable without creating unnecessary friction
\n
• Make Asana the reliable home for company commitments while allowing Slack to remain how the business communicates
\n
• Run a concise weekly accountability meeting across the leadership team
\n
• Give the founder a clear daily view of what moved, what is blocked and where his involvement is needed
\n
• Build a system that creates discipline without slowing down an entrepreneurial culture
\n

What you will bring

\n
• Experience working directly with a founder, owner or CEO as a Chief of Staff, business operations leader, senior program manager, strategic initiatives lead or executive business partner
\n
• Evidence that you have improved how a fast-moving company records, tracks and honours commitments—and made the change stick
\n
• The credibility and nerve to tell a senior leader that their deliverable is late, and the judgement to handle it constructively
\n
• An instinct for what the CEO genuinely needs to see and what you should absorb or resolve yourself
\n
• Exceptionally concise, decision-oriented communication
\n
• Comfort with speed, ambiguity, direct feedback and frequently shifting priorities
\n
• Experience in eCommerce, marketplaces, consumer products or another operationally complex, large-SKU business would be a significant advantage
\n

This role will suit someone with the judgement and presence of a Chief of Staff, but the mentality of a hands-on operator. You will be close to the founder, deep in the detail and personally responsible for driving follow-through.
