Supervisory Human Resources Specialist

United States Secret Service

Deputy Division Chief

The selectee will serve as the Deputy Division Chief in the Office of Human Resources, Classification and Position Management Division. Typical work assignments include:

Serving as a subject matter expert on complex Classification and Position Management programs while providing authoritative guidance to senior leadership and staff on interpreting and applying federal regulations, agency policies, and best practices.
Providing supervisory leadership by identifying systematic barriers to employee engagement and career development, and directing the implementation of standardized workforce development strategies, policies, and practices that support organizational goals and employee growth.
Collaborating with senior leadership to establish long-range workforce development strategies, evaluating program effectiveness while fostering a high-performing engaged Division through continuous improvement and organizational change initiatives.
Assigning and evaluating the work of subordinate staff; establishing performance expectations; developing employees, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing work environment.
