Take ownership of cash application and payment reconciliation within a fast-paced B2B manufacturing and distribution environment. Work with a diverse portfolio of B2B customer accounts and payment types, giving you exposure beyond basic payment posting. Work cross-functionally with AR, Credit & Collections, Sales, and customers to get answers and solve issues. Build valuable experience in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment with exposure to complex customer accounts. Key Responsibilities of the Cash Application Specialist: Apply ACH, wire, check, and credit card payments accurately to customer accounts. Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash. Reconcile customer accounts and use Excel to identify and correct out-of-balance transactions. Proactively research customer accounts and follow up for missing remittance information. Perform daily cash reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities. Maintain accurate cash application records and identify opportunities to improve processes. Qualifications of the Cash Application Specialist: High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of cash application, AR, or related experience. Strong Excel skills required, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables. ERP experience, particularly JDE, is a plus.
