We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support daily HR operations for a Contract position based in Rochester Hills, Michigan. This role will help maintain employee records, coordinate onboarding activities, and provide administrative support across core HR functions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with HR systems while assisting with employee-related matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Support day-to-day HR administration by maintaining accurate employee files and processing routine documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding tasks for new hires, including preparing materials, tracking pre-employment items, and helping ensure a smooth start.
• Update and manage information within HRIS platforms to keep personnel data current and reliable.
• Respond to employee questions on HR policies, procedures, and general workplace matters with discretion.
• Assist with employee relations activities by documenting concerns, scheduling meetings, and following up on action items as needed.
• Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and status updates to support internal tracking and decision-making.
• Help organize HR communications, meetings, and administrative workflows to improve team efficiency.• Experience supporting administrative functions within a human resources environment.
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems and the ability to enter and maintain data accurately.
• Familiarity with onboarding processes and employment documentation.
• Understanding of employee relations practices and the importance of confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with standard office software and general administrative tools.
